NCBG AEW March, 2021

This is a little watercolor and white goauche exercise on bristol board prepped with Golden Acrylic Absorbent Ground.  I put this first layer of watercolor on at home.

This is the cherry after several layers of color (pyrorole scarlet and some dark purple on the left as well as green, brown and the dark purple on the stem.  I used gouache for the highlights.

Watercolor on Yupo.  This is the dark color after it dried.

I lifted out the white part of the stem using a damp watercolor brush and a paper towel.  I left a little green to use as shadow.  I did this part at home.

I started lifting out the cap and adding red.  I lifted out some of the background as well and added orange.
