Continuing Watercolor (May/June 2013)

I added more dark in the background and glazed a little more with yellow.  I worked on more of the flowers and petals.  I corrected some edges (with gouache or scrubbing or a dark color).

3 views of the water drop.  Look at the top one and the running water to the left - try that too!

The start of painting the water drop.  It's all about values - pay attention to the lights and darks.  I started with a light green all over, added a dark on the top of the drop and a dark as a shadow outside on the bottom.  I then used gouache to add highlights.  I need to do a few more adjustments to the values (darks darker and whites whiter...) and add context (some of the leaf textures) and it can be done.

Aqueous Acrylics (May/June 2013)

I added another layer of white and yellow as well as red (a mixture of red and burnt sienna) to the flower.  I used black for the center.  There is still more detail work as well as dark and light values.

I added some white to the face.

I worked on the face with mixtures of burnt sienna & black and burnt sienna alone.  I added shadows and details.  I added a few highlights with white (nose and lip).  I worked on the head scarf with white and then burnt sienna in the shadowed areas.  I added white to the apron and collar.  They both need shadows.  I added a very thinned misture of blue to the background.

Continuing Watercolor (May/June 2013)

I added dark values and details to the top middle flower.  I added more dark to the background.

I added brighter yellow to the yellow feathers and some yellow to the black feathers.

I added a few more black stripes, some darks and detail to the face.

Aqueous Acrylics (May/June 2013)

I added another layer of white/light, a layer of a red-orange for shadows, and then bright yellow and white for highlights (I put the white in while the yellow was still wet).

I worked more on the beak, added more detail to the face and eye, and added yellow to the yellow feathers.

I worked on the plants more as well as the top part of the truck.

I started to add some color and values to the woman's face and blue shirt/dress
