| Colored pencil on gray sanded pastel paper. I started with white and did a value study. Next I used black and white and a little grayed lavender, indigo, and pomegranate on the beak. The eye was canary yellow, spanish orange, black and white. I shaded the head with white first during the value study, then I used black grape, pomegranate, grayed lavender, and indigo as well as more white. |
