NCBG Acrylic and Gouache (April 2013)

Acrylic.  This is light over very dark.  It is of course the first pass and requires quite a bit more work.  I started with a white and yellow mixture.

Gouache.  This is a gouache over an abandoned watercolor painting.  The painting underneath is an unfinished  painting of a person turned on it's side.  I put the magnolia on top.  I do plan to show the person a little in the back and possibly to add another in the bottom right quadrant.  The flower and leaves of course need more work (details and values).

Acrylic.  This is the magnolia on the salt texture background.

Gouache.  This is light over very dark.  It is of course the first few passes and requires quite a bit more work (I started with a few layers of white and then added a yellow so far).

Acrylic.  This is a variety of textures, white stamped or pressed onto the dark background and a few dry brush marks as well.
