| The acrylic hibiscus after painting over the value study. I mixed some greens and made a loose background with the greens, some yellow, and a little red painted on (wet paint) and then I lifted a little with a paper towel to add texture. I did more work on the petals with a brighter red and some white paying attention to the values. I worked on the stamen with red and white and blobs of red, yellow, and white on the tip of the stamen. I added some green dots as well (to have some background show through). |
