| After the value study was done I use terra cotta, canary yellow, spanish orange, cadmium orange hue, scarlet lake to add color lightly all over the elephant. Then I use more terra cotta and black to add darks (I tried indigo, dark brown, and then black grape - they did not work well so I switched to black). I continued to use white to refine and add highlights as well as any of the colors as needed. I started adding the water (need to finish) with white and a little true blue. Also added a little true blue to the tusks and mouth. |
