| Colored pencil on tan Strathmore paper. I started with white and did the light parts of the stem and the highlights on the flower part of the asparagus. I used canary yellow on the stem and bottom of the triangles. I did pomegranate on the tips of the triangles. |

| Colored pencil on tan sanded pastel paper (UART). On the grapes I did a light layer of canary yellow, a light layer of pomegranate, a light layer of black grape in the dark areas, a light to medium layer of white all over (to blend). Using the same colors except the yellow I layered it again paying attention to the values. I used white heavily in the highlights. I added some scarlet lake to some warmer red areas. |
