| Acrylic tomato value study. This was done on paper from an acrylic pad. I mixed a grey and used water to lighten the acrylic. It can also be done mixing a grey and using white to lighten as needed. Concentrate o n the values - the lights and darks. |

| Watercolor tomato value study. This was done on 140 lb. cold press paper. I mixed a grey with the 'yuck' on my palette and added some other colors until it was a pleasing grey. I used water to lighten the grey as needed. I also sprayed some to add some texture to make it interesting. Concentrate on the values - the lights and darks. |
