| This is a continuation of the gouache magnolia painting over the quilt practice piece. I worked more with the whit on the flower to establish more values. I darkened and simplified/unified the background and worked a little more on the leaves. |

| I removed the masking and shaded and softened some of the edges the masking created. I started adding grass around hs feet to ground the rooster (it needs more work) and glazed the background with yellow and over the pink around his head with viridian (to subdue it a little). I added some darks and details on his head as well. |
