Thursday Morning Class

Magnolia watercolor and a little gouache on watercolor paper.  I added more color, detail, and value.  I warmed it all up with yellow glazes.  I added some highlights with gouache and cleaned-up the petals as needed with gouache as well.

Tuesday Morning Class

Acrylic hen.  Had a little trouble getting a good photo of  this - very bad glare.  I added more color (blue/green on the chicken, worked on the head area - details).

Colored pencil rooster on Dura-lar.  This is placed over white paper.  I added more color to the rooster.

Tuesday Morning Class

Acrylic chicken.  I added some more details and subdued the background more (esp. around the head).  There are a few more things I would like to fix, but it's close to done.

Watercolor chicken.  I added details and highlights.  It needs more work, but it's getting closer.

Yupo rooster.  I lifted and added some more details.  It needs more work, especially some color and detail work.

GCWS Workshop

This is the horse, done in gouache and started at the GCWS workshop.  I have added some color (especially some blue gray and a little reddish brown) and a lot of detail.  There is still a few more things I want to do, especially around the muzzle area and possibly the background.

Tuesday Morning Class

Acrylic on the rubber cement painting.  I added more dark values as well as detail around the head area.  I also added color glazes and grass to the background and some glazes of color to the chicken.

I added some more dark values to the chicken body as well as some glazes of color.

On the Yupo rooster I lifted quite a bit and organized my values.  I lifted and added details to the head and some of the feathers.  I also started adding some color.
